The "Sick Kids" Hospital in Edinburgh Artwork
- 25.00 GBP
The time has come to say a fond farewell to the "Sick Kids" Hospital building at Sciennes Road in Edinburgh. Originally founded in 1860, the hospital then moved to Sciennes Road in 1895 and was opened by HRH Princess Beatrice of York, daughter of Queen Victoria. Since then this beautiful building has been home to the hospital and its wonderful staff who have expertly looked after babies, children and young people for all these years. I have a strong connection to the hospital in that my teenage daughter has been a patient there since she was only 11 months old. We're very excited about the new hospital opening but I couldn't let this historic time pass without paying tribute to the old building where we have spent a lot of time and a whole load of emotion! I have therefore produced this artwork and you can now purchase it and help to raise some funds at the same time. By purchasing this framed print you will contribute to the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity and have a bit of history to hang on your wall. Pictures are A4 in size and come ready framed as shown.
